Maj Gen(Dr) AK Shukla

After completing his BA (Hons) from Delhi university, Maj Gen AK Shukla, VSM (Retd) joined IMA in Jul 1979. He was commissioned into 15 Rajputana Rifles on 13 Dec 1980. His first posting was in Uri on active line of control.
The General Officer has had a very illustrious career of over 37 years in Army. He has vast operational experience having served in J&K, and North East insurgency Areas for over 15 years.
He has taken part in Operation Rakshak, Operation Vijay, Operation Rhino and Op Orchid.
He commanded his battalion during Operation Vijay and was resposible for the security of most important Zozila pass on Srinagar Leh highway, which was the lifeline of our troops in Ladakh region.
He commanded his Battalion on LC in very sensitive Poonch sector, where he was actively involved in consolidating our defence and ensuring zero infiltration of militants.
He has done all the prestigious career courses of Army, he holds three masters degrees including a Masters from United Kingdom.
As Additional Directer General Manpower, he was responsible for the complete cadre management of Indian Army including civilians at Army headquarters.
He is trained Interviewing Officer by Defence Institute of Psychological Research(DIPR).He is an expert on personality assessment by virtue of the experience he has gained as a President of 22 SSB and Commandant of SSB Centre Bhopal.
Gen Shukla, is very enthusiastically taken upon himself the noble cause of motivating and inspiring the youth.. He is regularly being invited by many prestigious academic institutions including IIMs to deliver motivational talk and conduct workshops on Communication Skills, Personality Management, Inspirational Leadership, Corporate Etiquettes and image Enhancement. His approach to personality development is unique as it blends interesting real life situations from his huge battle experience in the Indian Army.
He is a blogger, a motivational coach , Mentor and personality energiser.
Last year he has successfully completed his PhD.
